Promoting your designs, bouquets and arrangements online is very similar to promoting a brand. Instagram is extremely popular and focused on photography. This platform gives you many different options for promoting your brand and your work allowing you to show off your creativity and innovativeness.

Our last blog gave you all the ins and outs on Instagram Stories. Now it’s time to retain your growing community (the group of followers and interested individuals on your Instagram account).
These three steps will give you a good head start:

1. To make followers and potential clients show more interest in your work, it is key that they feel connected to you. A human element is very important: share pictures of you and your team at work. Nothing works better than a face to a name. It does not have to be your own name, it can be a pseudonym or a business name. Customers – who are always craving for more – will get to know your business and have the feeling they know you personally. It allows the public to remember you work and you to distinguish yourself from other florists’ Instagram accounts.


2. “A picture says more than a thousand words”. Alternate pictures of your daily activities with posts of extraordinary designs or special occasions. Dressed a wedding recently? It is distinctive of your talent, commitment and passion that a happy couple trusted you with the flowers on their big day. The fun part? Less is more doesn’t apply here: the more pictures, the better!


3. A distinguishing and attractive Instagram account must have an edge. Dare to be different. Vary with different settings and colours in your designs. Your creativity and ideas show off your talents and abilities. It also gives you the opportunity to share seasonal products that are available now or current trends.
